White House Week

3.8.13

This week, the San Francisco Giants visited the White House to celebrate winning the 2012 World Series championship. President Obama welcomed the team back to Washington and congratulated them on both their win and ability to make a comeback. Find out more about the event here.

The President also sat down to lunch with former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.

On Tuesday, the President travelled to Chattanooga, Tennessee to talk about the first cornerstone of middle class security: a good job in a durable, growing industry. President Obama’s plan for simplifying the corporate tax code would close loopholes, end incentives to ship jobs overseas, lower the rate for businesses creating jobs right here in America, provide tax incentives for manufacturers that bring jobs home to the United States, and simplify taxes for small business owners.
