Why did you start a blog? I’ve always had a love for writing, and I started Political Style as an outlet to share my thoughts on current events and fashion items. As I continued to write, my blog grew and I found a new hobby in creating digital content!
Why did you name your blog Political Style? I’m really interested in politics and fashion, and I wanted to explore how these two worlds interact with each other. I also love to see what politicians are wearing! It seemed like a natural fit to call it Political Style.
I want to start a blog- what are your top tips? Write about something you are passionate about. Design a blogging schedule that fits around your work/life and stick to it. Be yourself and be patient. Interact with other bloggers and importantly, have fun!
Who designed your blog? I purchased a template from Mlekoshi and then the incredibly talented Sara at One Beat Designs put it all together!
What’s your day job? I have my own business called LED Media, where I provide social media, copywriting, content creation and proofreading for businesses, organisations, individuals and brands. I also work for a politician with responsibility for communications.
What do you use to edit your photos/create collages? I use PicMonkey, Gimp and Canva.
What kind of camera do you use? A Nikon 5200 and the camera on my iPhone.
What is one beauty product you can’t live without? I love the SPF tinted moisturizer by Bobbi Brown and also the shimmer brick. I’m never without lip balm- my current favourites are Maybelline’s Baby Lips and anything from eos.
Where do you buy your clothes? I love Tory Burch, J.Crew, Ann Taylor and LOFT. I also buy essentials at Gap, and can’t resist a good sale!
I want to hire you/talk about collaborative opportunities. How do I get in touch? You can reach me at politicalstyle@gmail.com. Can’t wait to chat!
