New York: My Trip in Photos
17.4.15
Earlier this week I was in NYC for meetings and a bit of fun! I was in DC for a week beforehand- you can check out my trip in photos here!
So, what did I get up to in the Big Apple?
I travelled from DC using the Acela Express. This is hands down the best train I have ever used. Fast journey, excellent service and so close to my hotel. The least stressful thing about my journey ever!
A standard photo of the ice rink at Rockefeller Center- it has to be done!
In the afternoon, I caught up with BBC America journalist Laura Trevelyan. Lots of fun!
A small trip to Brooklyn Heights reaped a big reward in the form of these stunning views of Lower Manhattan and then back towards Brooklyn Bridge and the Empire State Building in the distance.
In the evening I finally meet PR genius Matt Dillon!
After lots of sleep I headed to the Lareymondie showroom to meet creator Maylis and see the gorgeous collection for myself! (More on this special visit in an upcoming post!)
If you are looking for a quirky lunch spot then give the Crosby Street Hotel a try!
In the evening I had great fun catching up with friends Filomena and Cheryl at the amazing seventh floor restaurant at Bergdorf Goodman. Stunning views, delicious food and lots of laughs!
Also have to say big kudos to the lovely ladies at the Bobbi Brown counter at Bergdorfs- my make-up was out of this world and I wish I could do eyeliner as professionally as this!
On Saturday I had fun exploring around Midtown and the UES with lots of shopping thrown in for good measure!
In the evening I met with Annie and Rachel from Small Girls PR at The Standard! Lots of fun and a venue you must visit if you haven't already!
Sunday was a little calmer- I stopped by Ralph's for coffee and did some shopping at Kate Spade and Tory Burch before meeting my friend, Jennefer for brunch.
I love strolling around the UES- spring flowers were in full bloom, and I visited my favorite apartment building, 1040 Fifth Avenue. All in all, a pretty spectacular trip!

Morning Routine
18.9.14
Each of us has a morning routine that hopefully helps us to face the day ahead with a smile!
So how do I start my day?
Before I leave my bed, I reach for my iPad and check my emails and social network notifications. I know some people would rap me on the wrist for admitting this, but these ten minutes allow me to start my day on top form and get ready to be productive.
Then the regime begins! For my face, I use my Clarisonic three to four times a week, and my skin instantly looks brighter after it has completed the quick two minute cycle. On other days I'll use a gentle cleanser like Simple's Facial Wash Gel. I tone my skin with Clinique's Clarifying Lotion 2 and use a moisturiser like AHAVA's Essential Day Moisturizer or the classic Hydrating Gel Cream from Bobbi Brown.
After I've brushed my teeth, washed my hair and showered, I use a thick body lotion like Neutrogena's Moisture Wrap to keep my skin hydrated all day long. If I'm heading to work then I'll straighten my hair, otherwise I keep it natural and let it do its own thing!
I've featured my beauty products before, but my three favourite fragrances currently on rotation are Tory Burch, Coach's Poppy and this great set of mini scents from AERIN.
After this I'll get dressed and have a light breakfast before taking the day on!
I'd love to hear about your morning routine and any recommendations for new products that I should try! Leave me a comment or tweet me!

Simple Daily Make-Up Regime
9.7.14
I confess- I'm not someone who likes to wear a lot of make-up, but I make sure my daily routine regime is the best that it can be. I'm often in a rush in the mornings (thanks endless traffic jams,) so a regime that is simple and quick is one that I will subscribe too.
I like simple multi-use products, and many people often ask me what brands I am wearing. So, the secret is out!
I've been using Bobbi Brown products for two years, and was so glad I made the switch from another (well-known) brand. The SPF 15 Tinted Moisturizer is perfect for my ever so pale skin, and provides me with the protection and coverage that I need. I hate shine, and the oil-free version gives a fresh and natural look. I also use the Pot Rouge in powder pink and gives just the right amount of colour for my cheeks. You can also use it on your lips! Garnier's Roll-On is great for hiding any dark circles, and it doesn't cake whatsoever.
For my eyes, I use Clinique's Quickliner for Eyes Intense in black, and Bobbi Brown's Everything Mascara. Both provide day-long coverage and don't cake.
I like to experiment with product for my lips, and equally love a drugstore chapstick as much as a higher-end lipstick or gloss. At the moment I love the Clinique Chubby Stick range. My two favourite colours are Chunky Cherry and Woppin' Watermelon.
What's your beauty regime? Tell me in the comments!
