#ShareYourOutdoors

7.10.16

We're lucky to live in such beautiful surroundings in the UK. From rivers to mountains, coastal paths to green fields, we're spoiled for choice with outdoor to places to visit.

I live in the South of Wales, a beautifully diverse and historically rich area with plenty of great outdoor spots to enjoy. Whilst I spend alot of my time travelling abroad, I do make time to visit some of the best outdoor locations that are on my doorstep.

One of my favourite places is Tredegar House in Newport. Set in 90 acres of parkland and with a variety of gorgeous walled gardens, Tredegar House is an impressive 17th century Charles II era country mansion house which has been in the Morgan family for 500 years. Now managed by the National Trust, Tredegar House and Park is a great place to go for a walk, join in with Park Run or enjoy the calming boating lake.

I had many school trips here during my youth, so it has been lots of fun to rediscover the House and grounds in my twenties! A real gem in a city location.

This post is part of Aspinall Foundation's #ShareYourOutdoors campaign to raise awareness of its animal conservation work. To take part and to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes simply share your thoughts on your favourite outdoor space with and use the #ShareYourOutdoors hashtag. You can also tag other bloggers to take part!

Trip to Tredegar House

5.10.15

The magnificent Tredegar House sits on my doorstep, and it's a pretty good neighbour to have. A few weeks ago the National Trust held an open day, and it was the perfect opportunity to re-explore this Welsh jewel. Check out my pictures below!

A great place to stop and think.

The last signs of summer.

Digging this dishware.

I love that the deer has a choker going on!

Ode to the Tudors.

Original wallpaper from Lord Tredegar's study. Reminds me of an AERIN print!

A perfectly vintage Louis Vuitton trunk.

A mix of coral, shells and starfish in a bathroom display.

I do love a good monogram.

Tredegar House is a great place to spend an afternoon!

Deichmann Fashion Blogger Prize

16.9.15

I'm really excited to be taking part in the 2015 Decihmann Fashion Blogger Prize! Deichmann is a must visit for the latest must have fashion fixes, and their new Hanneli Mustaparta collection is no exception. A mix of gorgeous boots, brogues and heels, you can put your best foot forward this autumn and be safe in the knowledge that you'll have the most stylish shoe collection around!

These patent Chunky Chelsea Boots are one of my favourites from the new collection. The electric blue thread detailing stands out perfectly, and the boots were the perfect choice for a Saturday walk around the historic Tredegar House and Park. Super comfortable and on trend, they really brightened up my Saturday afternoon!

My other top season picks from the new collection include these over the knee black boots- the cuff detailing is fab, and they really bring a whole new level to biker chic! I'd be brave and wear these to work, mixing up a black shift dress with some patterned tights or teaming with a pencil skirt or colourful mini.

The black and white tweed sneakers are also on my list, perfect for a relaxed look with jeans and a tee. If you're headed out for fun on the town then definitely go for the sparkly gold heels- Dorothy would approve! :)

Deichmann has had a presence for over 100 years, with stores in 24 countries. The brand celebrated its 10th anniversary in the UK in 2011, and its UK flagships are in Westfield London and Westfield Stratford. Deichmann has worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood to deliver A-List style to people's feet. Previous collaboration collections have been designed by Halle Berry and Cindy Crawford.

Rainy Days with The Umbrella Shop

30.3.15

It's officially spring, but the weather doesn't know this! This past weekend was a particularly wet and cold one...but it was perfect to test out my new umbrella from The Umbrella Shop!

Living in a climate where the elements are particularly wet and windy and umbrella is an essential piece of kit. This vented golf umbrella is perfect for tackling the windy weather, and the black and white colouring is my favourite.

And the grand setting where the road test took place? The glorious Tredegar House in Newport. You may recognise it from television shows including Doctor Who. It has an amazing history and is set in amazing grounds. It's one of my favourite places!

Thanks to my pal Helen Reynolds for the photos- had to include this great outtake!
