Back to Westminster: Theresa May's Week

It was a week focused on Parliament and Prime Ministerial duties for Theresa May this week.

On Monday, Parliament held a debate on the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill that lasted into the small hours of the morning. We saw a brief glimpse of the Prime Minister- and for the eagle eyed among you, she was wearing a new suit! Black with white label detailing, we're on the hunt for the designer.

On Tuesday, Theresa May welcomed Chance to Shine to Downing Street to play cricket! The PM was presented with her own personalised jersey- and wore a navy and sky blue coat and trousers by Amanda Wakeley, oversized pearls and the leopard Frame flats from Russell & Bromley.

On Wednesday, May returned to the Commons for Prime Minister's Questions. In a strong despatch box performance, the PM wore a navy tweed jacket by DvF, navy skirt with exposed zipper by Rouland Mouret and a pair of leopard kitten heels from LK Bennett.

Later in the day, the PM hosted a reception marking the Jewish New Year at Downing Street. Wearing the same outfit, she accessorised with several Swarovski cuffs and the Balls necklace by Mirta Bijoux.

On Thursday, Theresa May welcomed the Malaysian Prime Minister to Number 10. For this meeting, May wore a black trouser suit, white silk top and the Divine flats from Russell & Bromley. She accessorised with the oversized Amanda Wakeley chain necklace and bracelet.

And on Friday, May returned to London to chair a COBRA meeting in response to the Parsons Green attack.

On Saturday, Theresa May was in her Maidenhead constituency, judging and handing out prizes as part of the Maidenhead Civic Society Art Exhibition. It was back to a familiar off duty look- jeans, white shirt and a grey blazer. And the shoes? The navy Cocktail flats from Russell & Bromley! Thanks to MaidenheadMum for the pictures.

And to end the week, Theresa May attended the Battle of Britain service at Westminster Abbey, wearing her Paule Ka grey boucle skirt suit, black hat by Liz Felix, black Twiggy kitten heels from Russell & Bromley and a black clutch from Anya Hindmarch.

Peston, Manifesto Launch and Edinburgh: Theresa May's Week

The campaigning continued this week as Theresa May travelled around the country as part of the fight for Downing Street.

On Monday, Theresa May visited Tech Pixies in Oxford, social enterprise foundation aiming to return mothers to work.

She then returned to London to take part in a live Facebook Q&A with ITV's Robert Peston and answer questions from viewers. It was pretty exciting to hear the Prime Minister answer my question about fashion!

For these two appearances, May wore black trousers, the Liberty tartan jacket from Vivienne Westwood and the leopard Cocktail loafers from Russell & Bromley.

On Tuesday, May headed to Stoke on Trent, visiting workers at a Screw Fix premises. May also visited a Birmingham school and took part in a live town hall phone in.

May wore the Samira blue wool jacket from DvF, teamed with a white shirt, black trousers and the Frame leopard flats from Russell & Bromley. She accessorised with an oversized plastic chain necklace and a plastic bangle.

On Wednesday, Theresa May held a press conference in London with Chancellor Philip Hammond. May wore a black skirt suit, silk shirt, oversized chain bracelet and necklace from Amanda Wakeley and the Issa x LK Bennett kitten heels.

Thursday was the big day- the launch of the Conservative Party manifesto. Held in Halifax, May wore our favourite navy round silk collar suit to the launch, accessorising with a string of pearls and the Twister gold block heels from Russell & Bromley. You can read the manifesto here.

May then visited the MBDA factory in Bolton.

On Friday, the Prime Minister as in Edinburgh for the launch of the Scottish Conservative manifesto. Her customary Blackwatch tartan jacket from Vivienne Westwood made a reappearance, along with a white shirt, black trousers and our new favourite plastic chain necklace. May's studded loafers from Russell & Bromley made a welcome return!

Later in the day, May visited Andrew Black Haulage.

And on Saturday, May was campaigning in her own constituency of Maidenhead before heading to Ealing and Acton to campaign with candidate Joy Morrissey. May wore a red dress, oatmeal jacket and leopard flats from Russell & Bromley for her visit to Ealing and Acton.

On the campaign trail... Theresa May's Week

A strong and stable week on the campaign trail saw Theresa May in all areas of the country. Here's her week in review!

On Monday, the PM was in Harrow, holding an event with candidates and speaking to the press. Here May wore a brown tweed woven jacket, black trousers, an oversized Bakelite chain necklace and the Charlize loafers from Russell & Bromley.

The PM also visited the National Aviation Academy in Norfolk.

On Tuesday, Theresa May was in Yorkshire with candidates and meeting voters. She wore an exact repeat of the outfit she wore to Bridgend two weeks previously- click here for a recap of that event!

It was then back to London where May appeared on The One Show with her husband Philip. May wore her familiar DvF tweed jacket, black trousers and the Cocktail loafers from Russell & Bromley.

Later in the day, May headed to Scunthorpe, campaigning and meeting local businesses.

On Thursday, May hosted the Somalia conference at Lancaster House and was joined by Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson. May wore a black suit, white cami and the oversized chunky silver chain necklace and bracelet from Amanda Wakeley. Her shoes were the Divine flats from Russell & Bromley. She also campaigned in Southampton.

May also visited a mental health charity in Bermondsey and was interviewed on LBC.

On Friday, May launched her battle bus in North Tyneside. Wearing navy and the Cocktail loafers from Russell & Bromley, May accessorised with the crater necklace from Caroline Johnson.

Bye 2015 Parliament, hello GE2017: Theresa May's Week

A week of goodbyes and new challenges, this week formally marked the end of the 2015 Parliament.

On Monday, Theresa May was in Lancashire, meeting with supporters and canvassing and wearing a familiar campaign outfit of jeans, white shirt, blazer and leopard boots.

On Tuesday, the PM was in the South West of England, meeting voters and party activists. For her sunny trip to the south, May wore navy trousers, a white tee, grey and navy blazer and the navy Cocktail loafers from Russell & Bromley.

On Wednesday, the PM was back in London. She visited the Queen ahead of the official dissolution of the 2015 Parliament and made a statement outside Number 10 Downing Street. Back to business attire, May wore a navy Amanda Wakeley dress, the DvF tweed jacket and the Vivacious block heels from Russell & Bromley. She accessorised with the crystaldust Swarovski bangles.

Thursday was local election day, and Theresa May was on the campaign trail in East Sussex. A jacket and trouser combo complete with leopard flats was the PM's leafleting outfit of choice. In the evening, the PM was at CCHQ helping out with phone canvassing.

On Friday, Theresa May campaigned with Conservative Parliamentary candidate Mary Macleod in Brent. Here she wore a black trouser suit, the Charlize Russell & Bromley loafers and accessorised with an oversized chain necklace and an eye-catching Vue du Carosse La Galere La Reale Hermes scarf.

Heading back to her Maidenhead constituency in the evening, the PM continued canvassing with local activists, switching her Hermes for a Pazuki number and putting back on her leopard boots!

And earlier today, the PM travelled to Wolverhampton to meet with newly elected West Midlands Mayor Andy Street. The pair visited the UTC Aerospace Systems factory. Theresa May wore a navy blazer and trousers, accessorising with a Caroline Thomson Crater necklace and the Delicious leopard flats from Russell & Bromley.

Theresa May A-Z: D is for DvF

Adding a bit of glamour to the dispatch box, Theresa May headed across the pond for an eye-catching tweed jacket from DvF. Fringed sleeves, sparkly thread and an exceptional cut, this boxy jacket is an alternative and affordable take on the Chanel style tweed which many fashionistas aspire to own.

Wearing it to the weekly Prime Minister’s Questions session, one MP said to me that she could see it sparkling across the Commons Chamber, and immediately went online to see where she could buy one for herself.

May often wears this DvF jacket with one of her daring back zip detail navy shift dresses, accessorizing with a string of oversized pearls and the Vivacious block heels from Russell & Bromley. She also wore this outfit to welcome the President of Columbia on his State Visit to the UK in 2016. It’s one of her favourite jackets- and one of ours.

Wales and Westminster: Theresa May's Week

The Prime Minister started her week back in Wales, with a visit to Swansea to sign the City Deal for the Swansea Bay Region at the Liberty Stadium. May met with the First Minister and business leaders (including one of my friends!) at the event.

For the signing, the PM wore a brown tweed jacket, black trousers, an oversized pearl bead necklace and the leopard Cocktail loafers from Russell & Bromley.

On her return to London, Theresa May hosted a reception for guests from schools, universities and for leading figures in education. The Prime Minister thanked attendees for the vital work they are doing to encourage social mobility and provide a good education for every child.

On Wednesday, Theresa May attended the weekly Prime Minister Question session. She wore her tweed jacket from DvF, navy skirt, Daniel Blake coat and the Vivacious pumps from Russell & Bromley.

The Prime Minister's second appearance of the day was sadly in response to the awful terrorist attack at the Houses of Parliament. Her statement can be watched below:

On Thursday, the Prime Minister addressed Parliament and wore an appropriately somber black and white outfit. She accessorised with the familiar Amanda Wakeley silver chain necklace.

Black and White Ball, PMQs and world leaders: Theresa May's week

A week of high drama and important visits to Downing Street, this one has been a good one for the Prime Minister.

On Monday, Theresa May welcomed Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu at Downing Street. The two leaders held a bilateral meeting which you can read more about here. For the meeting, the Prime Minister wore an Aztec print dress from Amanda Wakeley and a navy two fabric blazer. She wore the Saucy heels from Russell & Bromley.

In the evening, Theresa May hosted her first Black and White Party as Conservative Leader. Held in Battersea, the evening was cut short for many attendees due to the ongoing Brexit bill votes in the House of Commons. For the event, the Prime Minister wore an elegant black tailored dinner trousers suit, lace cami and an oversized black and white plastic chain necklace. I have it on good authority that she was wearing black block heels (although sadly, no photos.)

On Wednesday, May took part in PMQs. She wore a navy tweed jacket from DvF, navy skirt and the Vivacious pumps from Russell & Bromley. She was also back in the House in the evening for the final Brexit bill votes.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister welcomed the new Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni at Downing Street. The two held a press conference following their meeting.

For this meeting, Theresa May debuted a new grey tone shift dress and jacket from Escada! She teamed it with a pair of gold Twister block heels from Russell & Bromley.
