To mark September 11th, Vice President Biden and Dr Jill Biden hosted Wounded Warriors and their families from Walter Reed, Fort Belvoir and Fort Meade at the Naval Observatory for a barbecue.

In the words of the Vice President: their generation is “the most remarkable in the history of this country.” Since September 11th, 2001, more than 3.5 million men and women have volunteered to serve in America's military, including more than a third who have deployed multiple times.
