Dutch State Visit: Theresa May's Week

Another week has flown by! Here's a recap of the Prime Minister's week.

On Monday, the PM was in the House of Commons updating Members on the EU Council meeting. The PM wore her navy Herno blazer and trousers, accessorising with the silver Mirta Bijoux necklace and bracelet and the leopard Kitty heels from Charlotte Olympia.

On Tuesday, May was part of the platform party to welcome the King and Queen of the Netherlands to the UK. The PM wore our favourite navy spotted Daniel Blake jacket, teaming it with a skirt, navy hat from Liz Felix and the navy Twiggy heels from Russell & Bromley.

And in the evening, the PM attended the State Dinner at Buckingham Palace. Debuting a new navy floor length dress with black embellished sleeve detailing, May boldly accessorised with the Audrey suede kitten heels from LK Bennett and the silver Valorie clutch from Anya Hindmarch.

On Wednesday, the PM took part in the weekly Prime Minister's Questions session. It was another day for Daniel Blake, this time May opting for the bright blue Origami jacket and matching skirt. The glitzy (and very chic) Rosebud kitten heels from Russell & Bromley were her shoe of choice.

And later in the day, the PM welcomed the King and Queen of the Netherlands to Number 10. This photo is iconic - and bright colours work so well against the black door! May also welcomed the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic to Number 10.

Thursday saw the PM launch the annual Poppy Appeal. Theresa May bought her poppy on the doorstep of Number 10 Downing Street alongside Poppy Mitchell (R), Barbara Weatherill (L of PM) and Claire Rowcliffe (L). May wore her black and white Escada blazer with a black skirt, and debuted a new pair of shoes from Russell & Bromley - the very daring Starlet court in zebra print!

And on Friday, the PM was in her Maidenhead constituency where she planted a tree as part of the Queens Commonwealth Canopy. Looking bright in her striped jacket and the navy Cocktail Russell & Bromley loafers!

Black Tie Wonders: Theresa May's Evening Style

This week's State Dinner for the King and Queen of the Netherlands saw Theresa May pick a fabulous new evening gown for the occasion. Whilst I don't have this confirmed (as yet!) I'm pretty confident that her floor length navy dress with sequinned black arm detailing is an Amanda Wakeley number.

The red dress: last seen at Blenheim Palace for the visit of President Trump, this is one of May's more frequently worn evening gowns. We first saw it in 2016, teamed with a sky high pair of red patent heels from LK Bennett. We've also seen the PM wear it to the annual Mansion House dinner. It's daring and the perfect choice for spicing up the Westminster dinner circuit! Designer intel is still unknown - so if you have any tips then let us know!

The bottle green gown: another chic choice, this deep green, floor length dress has a sheer overlay and is embroidered with delicate black flowers. The gown has made a few appearances in 2018, notably at the Commonwealth Heads of Government dinner at Buckingham Palace and at a trip to Salzburg in the summer. May also wore it to Mansion House, teaming it with the chic gold Twister block heels from Russell & Bromley.

The cream Amanda Wakeley coat: mixing it up, May has a great cream and silver embellished coat from Amanda Wakeley that she often wears to evening events. Teamed with trousers, this is relaxed and quirky cool look.

The black lace jumpsuit: perhaps my favourite outfit in the mix, the PM's daring black lace jumpsuit is one that turned heads on its first outing. We've seen her pair it with those chic red patent heels- as well as a pair of glitzy jewelled black heels for a night at the Pride of Britain Awards.

The midnight Amanda Wakeley dress: and who remembers the sleeveless, midnight mini dress from Amanda Wakeley from 2016? Bring this back Theresa!

And on the accessories front?

A sprinkling of Anya Hindmarch: we often see May take her vintage silver braided Valorie evening clutch. It's the perfect size for all those essentials, and works well with each of the choices above. A great investment piece!

Swarovski jewellery: who doesn't love a bit of bling? May dons some seriously chic Swarovski costume jewellery for her evening events. I particularly love an oversized cuff and earrings that the PM has worn on a few occasions.

Hermes scarf: and for those chilly nights, an oversized Hermes scarf is a great accessory to have! The bolder the better.

Westminster and Brussels: Theresa May's Week

It was a busy week of business for the Prime Minister - with the launch of the Government's loneliness strategy and three days in Brussels. Here's a recap of what Theresa May got up to.

On Monday, the PM attended the launch of the Loneliness Strategy in London.  Launching the strategy, Mrs May confirmed English GPs will be able to refer lonely people to community and voluntary activities by 2023, as she paid tribute to murdered Labour MP Jo Cox, who had campaigned to end loneliness before her death.

May wore her bright white Piazza Sempione jacket with black trousers, accessorising with the new season Amanda Wakeley rose gold bracelet and necklace.

Later in the day, the PM was in the House, providing an update on Brexit negotiations and in the evening, she hosted a National Black History Month reception at Number 10.

On Wednesday, the PM took part in the weekly PMQs session before heading off to Brussels for the first day of the EU Council meeting. It was a red, white and blue outfit - namely, the navy Escada skirt suit, a white top and a jewelled red necklace. The navy Twiggy kitten heels made a reappearance!

For the second day of the EU Council meeting on Thursday, one of our favourite outfits was back. May wore her purple Orchid skirt and jacket from Daniel Blake, teaming it with the iconic leopard Kitty leopard heels from Charlotte Olympia.

And on Friday, the PM attended the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting in the Europa Building. We love her striking new striped jacket - especially teamed with the Delicious leopard flats from Russell & Bromley!

Back to Westminster: Theresa May's Week

MPs returned to Westminster this week after the very long party conference season! And for the PM it was back to business on Monday as she returned to No 10.

In the evening, May attended The Sun Who Cares Wins Awards in central London, wearing her black and white Escada blazer, black trousers and the now infamous black Curve 'dancing' shoes with red heel from Russell & Bromley. I think we all need a pair!

On Tuesday, May accepted the inaugural 'In The Arena' award from the McCain Institute for her work to tackle modern slavery. The PM met Cindy McCain, widow of the late Senator McCain and former Vice President Joe Biden. May debuted a new Amanda Wakeley dress - we love it! And she teamed it with the Issa x LK Bennett kitten heels.

On Wednesday, it was back to the Commons for the return of Prime Minister's Questions. The PM wore our all time favourite Daniel Blake navy spotted jacket with navy trousers, opting for the navy Twiggy kitten heels. Following PMQs she welcomed 120 British Army personnel to Parliament thanking them for their service overseas.  And in the afternoon, she held a reception marking Mental Health Day at Number 10.

In the evening, May attended the Carlton Political Dinner, wearing the quirky cool black lace jumpsuit. Any spots on the shoes - then let us know!

And on Thursday, the PM visited Ogilvy as part of the launch of the Race at Work Charter, which gives businesses a clear set of actions to work towards in helping to create greater opportunities for ethnic minority employees at work. May wore her navy and silver thread Daniel Blake jacket, teaming it with a black skirt. The PM accessorised with the new season Amanda Wakeley rose gold and black ribbon oversized chain and necklace  - a firm favourite!

Conservative Party Conference: Theresa May's Week

It was back to Birmingham for this year's Conservative Party Conference - here's a recap of Theresa May's busy week!

The PM arrived in Birmingham on Saturday night, ready for four days of Party Conference. May wore her blue Paule Ka shirt dress, teaming it with a pair of leopard loafers from Russell & Bromley and her new black Buddy bag from Anya Hindmarch.

On Sunday, May was on Marr before attending conference and several fringe events. She wore her stunning orange Daniel Blake jacket, pairing it with black trousers and the Charlize silver toe loafers. The chunky chain necklace and bracelet from Amanda Wakeley was the perfect accessory!

On Monday, May took part in conference fringe events before visiting apprentices at an engineering services company. Her bright white Piazza Sempione dress was her Monday outfit choice, along with the deep red suede kitten heels from LK Bennett.

For the third day of party conference, the PM wore her new purple Piazza Sempione dress, taking part in a round of media interviews and preparing for her conference speech. Our favourite leopard Charlotte Olympia Kitty heels also made a reappearance!

And on Wednesday, speech day, May debuted a new outfit. Turning to Daniel Blake, May wore a slate grey trouser suit, accessorising with the Curve black suede shoes (complete with a glossy red heel!) from Russell & Bromley. Strong and steely, May wore the Amanda Wakeley silver chain necklace and bracelet.

UNGA: Theresa May's Week

The PM's week was dominated by her trip to New York and the United Nations General Assembly.

Heading out to the US on Tuesday, the PM participated in a roundtable event on the importance of education for girls across the globe.

She also met with world leaders from Iran, France and Canada.

It was a return to a firm favourite for the PM (and us!) The navy fleck military jacket from Daniel Blake, teamed with navy trousers and the black Divine flats from Russell & Bromley.

On Wednesday, the PM took part in the Bloomberg Global Business Forum, talking about how a post-Brexit Britain will be pro-business.

Later in the day, she addressed the United Nations General Assembly and took part in a Security Council meeting. May turned to Amanda Wakeley for her look, picking a smart black trouser suit, satin top and accessorising with the oversized silver chain necklace and bracelet. She wore her leopard Delicious flats from Russell & Bromley.

Maidenhead, LFW and Salzburg: Theresa May's Week

From constituency events to the EU Summit in Salzburg, here's a recap of Theresa May's week.

On Monday, the PM was in her Maidenhead constituency. She opened a new bridge in Bray before heading to the Make It Your Business seminar in Cookham.

May wore a navy Peserico blazer and trousers, teaming it with the Divine jewelled flats and a pearl and silver necklace.

She then returned to Number 10 to welcome the Prime Minister of Malta. In the evening she attended the UJIA Dinner at Grosvenor House. The PM wore a black jersey dress, accessorising with a Swarovski Crystaldust cuff and red kitten heels from LK Bennett.

On Tuesday, May gave an interview to the Daily Express at Number 10 - looking fierce in an Escada black and white blazer, trousers and the leopard Frame flats. Later in the day she hosted a reception for London Fashion Week, swapping the Escada for custom Daniel Blake and the blue Rosehip kitten heels from Russell & Bromley.

On Wednesday, the PM delivered a keynote speech at the National Housing Federation Summit in Westminster. May wore her classic navy Escada skirt suit, accessorising with an oversized cuff bracelet and the leopard Charlotte Olympia kitty heels. She then travelled to Salzburg for the evening section of the EU Council.

On Thursday, the PM attended day two of the EU Council. She wore her striking orange Daniel Blake jacket, trousers and a pair of leopard loafers from Russell & Bromley. She accessorised with the fierce Amanda Wakeley silver oversized chain necklace and bracelet.

On Friday, the PM delivered a statement on the Brexit negotiations at Number 10. Strong and determined, the PM wore a navy suit, pearl jewelled necklace and a pair of vintage leopard Russell & Bromley heels.

Westminster and Birmingham: Theresa May's Week

From Birmingham to Westminster, here's a recap of Theresa May's week!

An exciting start to a Monday - with the PM carrying a new handbag! An eagle eyed follower let us know that it is the Buddy bag in black from Anya Hindmarch. We love it!

In the evening, May attended the Daily Mail Health Heroes awards, wearing a floor length metallic dress, red heels from LK Bennett and a nude clutch purse. She wore her new Ami Doshi Shah necklace and cuff.

On Tuesday, the PM was in Birmingham for the Zero Vehicle Emission Summit at the ICC. May delivered a speech and met car manufacturers and hosted a roundtable session with industry leaders.

The PM picked her blue Daniel Blake Orchid jacket and skirt for the trip, teaming it with her leopard Charlotte Olympia Kitty kitten heels.

On Wednesday, it was time for the last PMQs before recess. May wore our favourite navy and blue spotted Daniel Blake jacket, pairing it with navy trousers and the navy Twiggy kitten heels from Russell & Bromley. She accessorised with some Swarovski Crystaldust bangles and an oversized bead necklace.
