Happy Weekend!

8.5.16

Happy weekend everyone! What a week it has been! I've returned from an awesome month away in Australia and New Zealand, feeling refreshed (apart from the jet lag) and ready to take on a series of exciting new challenges and projects that are on the horizon. In between unpacking, laundry and a rather large inbox purge here are some of the links that I've been reading:

The Complicated Sisterhood of Lee Radziwill and Jacqueline Kennedy: this fascinating article in Vanity Fair, Sam Kashner speaks to Radziwill about the relationship with her sister and how they dealt with fame and tragedy.

7 Insider Secrets from Female Entrepreneurs: if you're a female entrepreneur, this one is a must-read.

Australia's First Lady: This old article about Lucy Turnbull provides a great look at her fashion sense- the photography is amazing!

Happy Weekend!

I can't quite believe we're into March! It's been a week of highs and lows for me, and I'm hoping that the new week will bring brighter things.  Late to the party, I've just signed up for Netflix! How I lived before Netflix I'll never know! My current favorites are Grace and Frankie, Fuller House and Hinterland. I'm looking forward to starting House of Cards over the weekend!

Here's what I've been reading this week:

Sallie Krawcheck: this is the future of work: Krawcheck is such an inspirational businesswomen, and her article on the different cycles of work and opportunities is a compelling read.

15 Netflix documentaries entrepreneurs should watch: they're all on the list!

Women in Business Q&A: Ashley Parrish, Executive Producer, TODAY Digital: it was a real thrill to interview TODAY's Executive Producer of Digital, Ashley Parrish. Check out her career insights of working in both print and digital!

Taking on 2016 with The Conquer Kit

8.1.16

2016 is going to be a big year of change for me. One of the areas I'll be focusing on will be the development of my business, moving to being a full time entrepreneur.

The release of The Conquer Kit: A Creative Business Planner for Women Entrepreneurs has arrived at a really convenient moment for me! Penned by media producer and entrepreneur mentor Natalie MacNeil, The Conquer Kit is a clever merging of the artistic creativity of Wreck This Journal and the business planning of #Girlboss.

Separated into timed sections, The Conquer Kit focuses your mind on what you want and why you want it. Helping readers to clear through the clutter, you'll be able to easily identify who you want to serve through your business and how you'll be getting there.

With handy tasks such as creating your 'business beacon,' and your intention word, The Conquer Kit really is an amazing tool for transforming your business, entrepreneurial idea and even helping you start out on your journey into the world of self-employment.

By following MacNeil's advice, 2016 will be your best business year yet!

Thanks to Penguin for an advice review copy of The Conquer Kit.
