Secretary Clinton's Africa trip will take her to 6 nations

Secretary of State departed for her latest trip to Africa earlier today. The 11 day trip to the continent will see Clinton visit six African nations including South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi and South Africa.

Dr Biden views AIDS Memorial Quilt

Dr Jill Biden viewed sections of the AIDS Memorial Quilt on display at the National Building Museum in Washington DC earlier this week.

The quilt was first displayed on the Mall in 1987, and it now contains the names of over 94,000 individuals who have died of the disease on more than 47,000 panels.

Michelle Obama arrives at Buckingham Palace

The First Lady arrived at Buckingham Palace earlier this evening to attend a reception for Heads of State held by the Queen.

Mrs Obama arrived with Ambassador Susman, and wore a J Mendel ivory silk satin faced chiffon pleated knee length skirt with a J Mendel white viscose techno crepe tailored jacket with overlapped side panels and silver embroidery.

Michelle Obama joins Olympic Team

The First Lady has arrived in London to cheer on Team USA in the Olympic Games! Earlier today Mrs Obama attended an Olympic Breakfast and hosted a Let's Move event at Winfield House, home of the American Ambassador.

For the event Mrs O wore black pants, a red sleeveless top and a white red patterned blazer.

Ann Romney to re-visit Wales

Ann Romney will visit Wales later this week when she accompanies her husband on their visit to the UK. Mitt Romney will also be visiting Israel and Poland, and the couple will watch the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games on Friday. During Romney's trip to Europe, Ann Romney will visit Wales, and the seaside resort of Porthcawl before returning to London to watch her horse, Rafalca perform in the dressage competition.

Ann Romney's grandfather David Davies was born in the village of Nantyffyllon before he emigrated to Michigan in 1929.
