Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi toured the newly built South of Market Health Center in San Francisco on the 28th March 2011, a year after the Affordable Care Act was signed into law by President Obama. Pelosi saw the new dental and medical facilities and met with employees and patients.

The President and First Lady were in El Salvador yesterday, where they met with the country's President and First Lady. During their visit, Mrs O visited the Ciudad Mujer women's centre, officially opening the building. She was later joined by daughters Sasha and Malia at a USAID sponsored youth centre project.

Later in the evening, the First Couple attended a State Dinner in their honour. For the two previous events, the First Lady wore a violet printed Jason Wu dress from his Resort 2011 collection, accessorised with an Alexis Bittar pin. At the youth centre, Mrs O wore stone coloured pants with a printed wrap halter top. Her most glamorous outfit was of course at the State Dinner, where Mrs O wore a brocade white and gold strappy dress by L'Wren Scott, with a cream coloured pashmina and oversized earrings and two chunky bracelets.

Leader Pelosi visited Afghanistan over the weekend, with members Rep. Rosa De Lauro and Rep. Bill Pascrell as part of a Congressional Delegation to the country. The delegation joined Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, Speaker of the Lower House of the Afghanistan Parliament as well as meeting Mohammad Iqbal Azizi, Governor of Laghman Province and children in Marjah and Mehtar Lam.
