President Obama delivered his first State of the Union address last night, stating that he "will not quit." Jobs and the economy made much of the speech's focus, with the President promising a new jobs bill, and a government spending freeze. He also promised to get healthcare reform finished and maintained that America must be the leader in the fight against climate change.
Joining the First Lady and Dr Biden in their box was the Haitian Ambassador, and Sgts. Kimberley Munley and Mark Todd who opened fire on the gunman at the Fort Hood tragedy in November. Mrs Obama wore a purple Isaac Mizrahi for the occasion, in which the President also acknowledged her for her work in highlighting healthy eating and childhood obesity.
