Obama's Nobel

President Obama received his Nobel Peace Prize this afternoon in Oslo's City Hall. Acknowledging his own few accomplishments while delivering a robust defense of war, Obama promised to use the prize to "reach for the world that ought to be."

Obama is the first sitting US president in 90 years and the third ever to win the prestigious prize. During his speech, the President emphasized alternatives to violence, stressing the importance of both diplomatic outreach and sanctions to confront nations that defy international demands to halt nuclear programs or those who terrify their citizens.

I think the President truly deserves this award...and am proud he's represented us so well.
